 The Frank family has been involved in engine performance tuning and building at the highest levels for decades; since 1948 the Frank's have been building motorcycle and automobile engines for some of professional racings most notable teams: Formula 1, 2 and 3, Indy 500, Grand Prix, Chassis and Tire Tech, SCCA GT1, 2 and 3, Spring and Outlaw Spring Techs, Top Fuel and Alcohol Drag Racing.

In 1993, Steve decided to bring to the public what previously had only be available to an elite few. In doing so, Steve brought with him the considerable reputation he and his family had earned over a near half century of excellence. He also brought with him three generations of performance building experience.

Steve founded Frank Racing in early 1994 and thus brought to life the culmination of his family's legacy. Now, after 12 years of continued acclaim, Steve's vision that is Frank Racing has surpassed even his expectations.

Frank Racing generated significant excitement in the late 90s when they became one of the first shops to turn in sub 12 second quarter mile times with the new GM platform, dubbed the LS1. Frank Racing didn't stop there however, and it wasn't long before their pioneering spirit was demonstrated in dramatic fashion. In 1999, Frank Racing began consistently turning in low 10 second quarter mile times with their LS1; something no one else in the nation was doing at the time.

In the early 2000s, Frank Racing turned their attention to the motorcycle world. They worked with the local Houston community to build and sponsor a top fuel Harley Davidson. This bike toured Texas and its surrounding states racing circuit, earning significant accolades and awards every track it visited. This tour, led by Steve himself, continued until early 2003 when Steve was activated by the US Military. Steve was redeployed to the Middle East, and served his country with distinction for two tours in Iraq. During this time Frank Racing decided to shelve the Harley Davidson project and instead focus back on the automobile arena.

When Steve returned from deployment, he finally got to see this new Hemi his team kept telling him about. It was love at first sight. Steve saw in this engine everything the LS1 could have been from the factory. He also saw the dedicated following this engine platform had developed, and he instantly became a supporter of the independent testing method developed by members of LXForums.com, named the "Mods Face Off" series of tests.

Since then, Frank Racing has committed itself to producing highest quality components for the Hemi engine platform. Toward that end, Frank Racing has worked directly with Ferrea in order to design and produce all new high performance valves. Frank Racing has also worked in close cooperation with cam manufacturers in order to develop true custom fit solutions designed specifically for their head designs. In working with these third party companies, Frank Racing has proven its commitment to fitting you with the best solution possible.
